The American College of Physicians recently published updated guidelines for the management of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the Annals of Internal Medicine. The guidelines include six (6) separate recommendations including long-acting inhaled therapies, supplemental oxygen and pulmonary rehabilitation.
